In the late 1980s the leadership of Integrity Music felt the need to establish a non profit entity which would help people worldwide experience the manifest presence of God and serve Jesus Christ as Lord. Throughout most of the 1990s IWM (then called Worship International) conducted worship leadership training events in the United States and throughout the world. In 1997 the leadership of IWM began discussions concerning the development of a concentrated curriculum in worship studies that would be offered through Christian educational institutions, as well as through a certificate program.
After an initial trial, IWM established an ongoing relationship with Regent University in Virginia Beach, VA, where Integrity Worship Institute personnel teach a concentration of five courses with graduate credit made available through Regent Universitys Graduate School of Divinity.
These classes are also made available directly at the IWIs campus in Mobile, AL, where they are offered as part of the Certificate in Worship Leadership or for undergraduate credit through the University of Mobile.
Classes offered:
- Developing a Biblical View of Worship
- Examining Relational Issues Affecting Pastors and Worship Leaders
- Growing in Leadership Skills
- Exploring Current Issues Facing Pastors and Worship Leaders
- Equipping the Worship Leader with Practical Skills
Additionally, since its relaunch in 1998 IWM has provided worship leadership training for global church leaders through meetings around the world and domestic leaders through Integrity Musics Seminars4worship conferences. The participation with church leaders around the globe informs domestic programs with a global perspective. IWIs participation in Integrity Musics Seminars4worship two-day conferences is a key for exposing the Institute to a large and growing audience of domestic US church leaders.
